Your Role:

The Innovation team focuses on rapidly developing and testing proofs of concept (PoCs) to explore new product ideas and business propositions. You'll play a key role in designing, developing, and launching prototypes, bringing ideas to life in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Your work will directly contribute to validating new concepts from both a technical feasibility and commercial viability standpoint. The current team comprises of two embedded software engineers and an Innovation Manager. You'll bridge the gap between embedded (IoT) engineering and web development, integrating solutions into our market-leading EV infrastructure platform.

You'll also collaborate with the Innovation Manager on product-related topics. Together, you'll work on creating innovative solutions for smart charging (Vehicle-to-Grid, grid de-congestion, Plug and Charge, CO2 certificates) and other areas.

Your Core Responsibilities:

• Rapid Prototyping: Develop quick, functional PoCs to test new product ideas, leveraging PHP and front-end frameworks such as Angular, Vue.js, or React.
• End-to-End Development: Own the entire development cycle from architecture to release, backend to frontend, ensuring seamless integration.
• Agile & Fast-Paced Execution: Work in short cycles (e.g., sprints), constantly iterating based on feedback and data.
• Tech & Business Validation: Collaborate with other innovation team members and teams from the core organization to test technical feasibility and market demand.
• Scalability & Transition: When successful, refine PoCs into scalable, production-ready solutions that can be handed over to the product and technology teams, and the commercial organization.

You Recognize Yourself in:

• Proven experience as a Full-stack Engineer in an innovation/PoC-driven environment.
• Strong experience with PHP, preferably Symfony, SQL, NoSQL, Queuing and Caching technologies.
• Proficiency in frontend frameworks, such as Angular (preferably), Vue.js, or React.
• Experience with containers (preferably in AWS), and CI/CD automation is a plus.
• Ability to balance speed and technical quality—knowing when to build quick-and-dirty versus when to engineer for handover.
• You are a problem-solver, innovator, and collaborator who can navigate both the technical and business sides of development.
• Proactive, self-driven mindset with a passion for continuous learning and experimentation.
• Strong analytical skills, able to assess technical feasibility and performance trade-offs.
